About Chris Charabaruk

Photo of Chris CharabarukChris Charabaruk is a computer programmer with many years of development experience with games and open source projects. Chris grew up writing code on a Commodore 64, and later on branched into C++ and C# development.

Chris is the founder of online startup Taskerrific, which aims to provide an easy and social way to handle personal and professional task management. Taskerrific was started in early 2009, and launched a private beta in late summer of the same year.

In addition to his programming and business experiences, Chris is a strong public speaker, thanks to his participation in Toastmasters International. He is an active member of Ajax-Pickering Toastmasters Club. Chris earned his Competent Communicator award in 2007 and is working on further communication and leadership goals within and outside of the organization.

In the past, Chris was also involved in the games industry. In 2005, he co-founded the Toronto Independent Games Conference, with the aim to promote Toronto as a place of interest in the games industry and to provide networking and educational opportunities for other developers. Chris also was one of the coordinators of the "Indie" SIG of the International Game Developers Association.

Chris is interested in participating in small to medium teams as a programmer, and looks forward to strengthening his project management and software development talents. He is always on the lookout for new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
